Gandhi PG  College, Orai District – The headquarters of Jalaun is located less than half a kilometer from Orai railway station on Station Road at Orai and 2 km from Orai roadways bus stand. Orai is connected to the state and other parts of the country by rail and by road. Orai city is located approximately between Jhansi (114 KM) and Kanpur (106 KM). From here, the National High Path passes 27 NH-27 which is a part of the East-West Corridor. The college was established in 1969 by the then Education Minister, Uttar Pradesh government, known as Bapu of Bundelkhand. From its infancy till date, the college has been making commendable contribution in imparting higher education to poor and socially deprived students in the backward region like Bundelkhand, facing many storms. Manikchandra Sharma, the life chairman of the College Management Committee, thereafter, the college is constantly progressive in the efficient management of the Managing Committee Chairman Smt. Indu Sharma. Gandhi College, Orai has the facility of undergraduate arts, B. Ed. and postgraduate arts education. Graduate Arts (B. A. ) Hindi 11 subjects, Sanskrit, English, Geography, Pedagogy, Psychology, Defence Studies, Economics, Sociology, History and Political Science. At the level of Postgraduate Arts (M. A. ), 6 subjects are teaching of Hindi, Sanskrit, defence studies, geography, pedagogy and psychology. All the subjects except Hindi are under self-financed scheme. At present, 35 teachers are working for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Out of these, 22 are permanent and 13 are self-financed professors. In addition, 12 third class and 8 class IV employees are working in the college|
